Barzel Dance Festival

BARZEL DANCE FESTIVAL is an annual dance festival organized by eagles dance company in Jos, Nigeria. The festival is designed to create space for creatives to gather, share energies, memories as well as exchange culture and experiences through dance with the community.

Barzel has hosted both local and international creatives across different editions. The festival creates a common platform for community to organize around an unforgettable experience of art and entertainment using dance as a primary tool of expression in collaboration with Dj’s, mcs, hypemen, sound and light technicians, videographers and event organizers.

Barzel has a consistent audience of an an average of 1000 in person audience and a virtual audience of about 4000 viewers who view and gather yearly to experience the festival. The gathering seeks to explore all amazing possibilities that dance and theatre can bring to a society. The idea of Barzel has evolved over the years and is growing to an African, Nigerian communal experience for both local and international artist and audience who gather yearly to a whole sense of youth culture, positive experience.

This year is bigger and better. For the first time, Barzel is introducing a one week of activities ranging from workshops and exchanges, panel of discussion, city tour, cultural events, opening cocktails, sisters date and lots more. The grand finale of the festival is slated for the 10th of December by 3pm at Mees Palace Hall, Rayfield, Jos.
